Vanessa Gillings, a children’s author and illustrator inspired by nature, paints animals and images from fairytale settings, and quiet, everyday scenes. Working entirely in gouache, using a layering technique she developed and teaches in her skillshare class, her illustrations have been featured in coloring apps, children’s clothing companies, and galleries across the country. She currently lives in Washington, DC.
Paula Mela is an illustrator from Finland and she has illustrated children's books for Finnish publishers. She enjoys creating fairy tale-like illustrations using primarily traditional techniques. Currently she's studying ceramics and some of her other interests include crafts, spirituality and the mysteries of life.
Liana Hee is a character designer and illustrator living and working in sunny Los Angeles. She creates whimsical art with gouache paint and specializes in miniature paintings. Some of her hobbies include: ballet, rollerskating, reading, cooking and photography. She has worked with Bath & Body Works, Disney Fine Art, Disney's WonderGround Gallery, Disney Parks & Resorts, Yellow Shoes Creative Group, Nickelodeon, Random House, Amazon, and other exceptional clients.
Erin Vest is a digital freelance illustrator currently based in Richmond, VA. Her work revolves around quiet fairytales, saturated storybook colors, and soft things that move very, very slowly. Other passions include a love for grimdark fantasy novels and drinking truly absurd amounts of coffee.
Yellena James grew up and attended art school in Sarajevo, BiH. At the age of 18 she moved to the U.S. After gaining her BA in painting and graphic design at UCF, she eventually made her way to Portland, OR. Preferring pens, inks, markers and acrylics, she combines complex abstract forms into dazzling images which take on lives of their own. Her colorful arrangements of organic shapes and tangled lines are at once floral and alien, organic and sci-fi. Each intimate world she creates seems to posses its own ethos and its own special ability to radiate emotion.
Some artwork may be paid for in installments. Please for details.
