Nucleus welcomes artists Thomas Hunter and Motohiro Hayakawa for their group show

GIVEAWAY INFORMATION
Any purchase of merchandise or artwork by Motohiro Hayakawa or Tom Hunter from Gallery Nucleus (online or in-store) made before June 19th at 11:59 PT will be entered into a raffle to have one of the artists draw the winner's RPG character. Every $20 spent will be considered 1 raffle ticket.
The commissioned drawing will measure no larger than 6 in. wide by 6 in. tall, and cannot include gore, pornography, or any other subject matter deemed inappropriate by either the artist or Gallery Nucleus. All other details of the drawing, including medium and character pose, will be at the discretion of the artist. Winners will receive both a digital and physical copy of the drawing. Shipping costs apply for international winners.
ABOUT
Motohiro HayakawaBorn in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, Hayakawa studied at the region’s Technical Institute before going on to work in illustration and comics. Major influences include the science fiction adventures and cartoons of his childhood, in particular Space Sheriff, a cult Japanese TV show aired in the early 80s. The US cartoonist and illustrator, Gary Panter, is also cited by Hayakawa, together with a range of musical inspirations, from pop to punk.
Using a mixture of different textures and techniques, fine lines, jelly-like forms and fluorescent color, Hayakawa creates imagined scenes charged with energy and narrative flair. Lurid monsters, clanking robots and 70s-inspired sci-fi heroes sporting kitsch outfits and laser guns. Motohiro Hayakawa’s comic-style battle scenes are places where the action never stops, thrilling invitations to step inside and join the fun.

Tom Hunter
Tom Hunter is an Illustrator/Animator living and working in Melbourne, Australia. He works mainly with markers and fine liner and loves to draw on the deep well of classic Sword & Sorcery to create his work. Swords, wizards and gold!
