After being out of print for 17 years, Barron Storey's legendary and nearly impossible-to-find Marat/Sade Journals is back in an all-new, re-scanned and re-edited edition.

Storey's Journals are intensely personal; the rough, leading edge of an ever-expanding inner awareness. Brave, relevant, and most of all: true.  Storey clearly attempts to make much more than art. He earnestly and desperately tries to make sense of himself, life, and that grey area where the two intersect.  The explanation for his compulsion is simple. In his own words: "It was worth my time to try."

Gallery Nucleus is pleased to welcome Barron Storey to meet fans and sign copies of the new Marat/Sade Journals. Barron will also have copies of Life After Black, a "sequel" to Marat/Sade available.

Kent Williams' work has been exhibited internationally over the past decade including at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC. His work is included in the collections of Robin and Marsha Williams, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Darren Aronofsky, and Meg White.

Primarily a figurative painter, Williams' work explores, in both bold and subtle ways, and often through a suggestion of narrative and woven symbolism, the thread of life that ties us together as human beings. Embracing our virtues while not shying away from our faults, he shows us portraits of ourselves, intense and penetrating.

A graduate of The Pratt Institute in New York, Williams, a consummate draftsman and painter, has realized his work through various artistic channels including illustrated word, graphic novels, printmaking, photography, design, architecture, and film. His most recent book, KENT WILLIAMS, AMALGAM: PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS is the most comprehensive collection of Williams' work to date.

Williams has instructed at The Pratt Institute, The California College of the Arts, East Carolina University, The California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) and he currently teaches contemporary figurative painting at Art Center College of Design and is Mentor Faculty at Laguna College of Art and Design as part of the MFA program.
