Gallery Nucleus celebrates acclaimed artist Junko Mizuno's 30th Anniversary, as well as the final installation of her tarot card exhibitions (based on the major and minor Arcana.)
For this momentous occasion, we are collaborating with local cafe Re:bakesic Coffee & Bakery to create a Junko Mizuno themed pop-up! They will be serving up exclusive drinks and pastries, along with a live drawing party / reception and other fun exclusives to be debuted - so stay tuned!

OPENING RECEPTION

- "Doodle & Tea party with Junko" Come hang out, enjoy tea, chat, and draw with Junko. Tables, chairs, and drawing supplies provided by Nucleus. Tea and pastries at Re:Bakesic.
- There will be a break for the artist from 4pm - 5pm.
- Junko will also be available for photos and signing.

CAFE POP-UP @ RE:BAKESIC- Re:Bakesic Coffee & Bakery, a cafe just down the street from us, will be transformed into a Junko Mizuno-themed experience during the show period.

ABOUT JUNKO MIZUNO
Having grown up in Tokyo, Junko Mizuno is a self-taught artist recognized for her unique visual iconography of powerful and often sexy women.
Although her art refuses to be categorized, much of it is based on Japanese pop culture from '70s and '80s with the sources of her inspiration stemming from fetish art, folk art, religious art, psychedelic art, pin-up art, advertising art, vintage toys, fashion, comic, food, nature, movies, TV shows, video games… almost everything that surrounds her. Currently residing in San Francisco, she is constantly working on new comics, paintings, illustrations, and product designs ranging from toy figures to T-shirts. Her work has been featured in stores, museums, and fine art galleries around the world.
Motivated by the pure pleasure of creating art, she celebrates the power of women and creates a universe of them, full of energy, both positive and negative.
