Gallery Nucleus is thrilled to once again welcome the fantastic artist and illustrator Heikala back to the gallery! Featuring the debut of new artwork and exclusive artprints, this show will be a magical adventure full of marvelous characters and mysterious landscapes. Heikala will be flying all the way from Japan to meet fans and sign books and prints.

ABOUT HEIKALA

Heikala is an artist and illustrator from Oulu, Finland, who now lives in Japan. She uses the traditional mediums of ink and watercolor to tell stories and bridge the divide between mundane and magical. She frequently attends conventions around the world.

Heikala's educational background is in graphic design, with a degree from Lahti Institute of Design. She started creating art full-time in 2016, creating all her artworks traditionally with inks and watercolor, but lately She has also been interested in other mediums, such as poster colors and markers. Heikala's style is influenced by Finnish children’s book illustrations, Japanese animation, and her many travels in Japan.
