Debuting in her first solo exhibition, Canadian painter Janice Sung will be displaying a series of watercolors. With emphasis on the female form and a classicist approach, her work evokes Pre-Raphaelite tones with contemporary femininity.

ABOUT JANICE SUNG
Janice Sung is an artist based in Victoria, Canada. She graduated Sheridan college for animation and is known for her whimsical paintings of graceful women entwined with animals and nature. She works both digitally and traditionally and has recently started to experimenting more with watercolors and gouache. A signature of her work lies in its intricate detailing as she depicts the whimsical harmony between women and the natural world. Janice finds her muse in the timeless elegance of Neoclassical, baroque and renaissance art, as well as traditional Chinese and Japanese paintings.
