Inspired by culture magazines of the late 90s and early 2000s, WOLFPOP a monograph featuring Perry's personal art work from the past 20 years!
Projects such as Björn, Pluto, and Brother Wolf have larger episodic narratives behind them that he hopes to someday develop into comics, animation, or films.
Perry describes writing as a way of mythologizing his own life. His stories begin with personal experiences before evolving into new characters, worlds, and ideas. He is particularly drawn to supporting characters and exploring perspectives beyond his own.
For Perry, storytelling is also an archaeological dig: ideas emerge without obvious connections, sometimes sitting for years before unexpectedly fitting together. The thrill of discovering those connections and “piecing together the bones of a story” continues to motivate him to draw and write.
