" 'Venture into the city of Metronome, a sprawling mass of haphazardly built houses and huge steam engines where the outlandish inhabitants are carrying out their chores day and night. A city where the life of every citizen is dictated by the Corporation, a single bureaucratic entity that owns all the land, the entire infrastructure and all the industries.'

City of Metronome was a 3-d puzzle platform game that was developed by a group of Swedish students (three of whom are still at Tarsier) and then presented to the world at E-3 in 2005. The game featured a young train-engineer named Tin, who had to use sound in order to solve puzzles and maneuver his way throughout an industrial city controlled by a mysterious corporation.

With much fan-fare and success at the convention, the students left the gaming industry smitten as they returned back to Sweden. By choice,The City of Metronome was never completed; however, it laid the foundation for the creation of Tarsier Studios. Located in Malmö, Sweden, Tarsier Studios is known for the creation of Little Nightmares I & II, Statik ( PSVR), The Stretchers and City Of Metronome. To this day, The City of Metronome has a large cult following and after Little Nightmares it is the most asked about game."
