The Legend of Korra / Avatar: The Last Airbender

Nucleus and Nickelodeon present “Legend of Korra / Avatar the Last Airbender: Tribute Exhibition,” an art exhibit paying homage to the amazing animated TV series.

We are accepting online submissions from fans across the globe who wish to express their love of the series and to be a part of this exciting exhibition that will consist of behind the scenes production artwork, tribute artwork from illustrators, as well as tribute art from artists who have worked on the TV shows. 

Nucleus and Nickelodeon will select roughly 15 art submissions total to be featured and sold in the final exhibition: 5 pieces dedicated to Avatar: The Last Airbender, 5 pieces dedicated to The Legend of Korra, and 5 pieces that can be appropriate for either/both shows.

You are FREE to submit as many pieces as you like. 


Submission Guidelines:

All submissions must comply with the following...

No use of any third party intellectual property
No cross overs or character mergers, especially not with characters from beyond the Avatar world
No text or images that may be considered offensive or controversial to others in any manner
No use of profanity, hate or vulgar language
No use of explicit or sexual language or graphics
No images or references of illegal drugs
No business advertising

Submission Terms:

1. Theme: Submission must pay homage to The Legend of Korra or Avatar: The Last Airbender or both.
2. Originality: Submission must be created from the imagination of the contributor and must not infringe on the intellectual property of any other individual or entity.
3. Medium & Dimensions: Submissions can be digital or any traditional art medium.  The work can be 2D or 3D, but must not exceed the dimensions of 24" x 36" framed and should be no smaller than 11” x 17” after being framed.
4. Do not send physical artwork until your submission via email has been accepted for inclusion in the exhibition and you have been contacted.
5. All original media artwork submitted must be available for sale as digital works may be selected as Nucleus print exclusives.
6. Strictly adhere to the Submission Guidelines to be eligible.

Email a scan or photo of your submission in JPEG format at 1000 pixels width or 72 dpi including all of the following info to:

Submission Deadlines:

For consideration to be included in our physical exhibition on display at Nucleus and opening March 7, 2015:
Please submit images via email in accordance to instructions above no later than February 20, 2015 at Noon (PST).  
The selected artists/submissions will be notified by email no later than February 23 , 2015.  
All selected submissions must be available for sale and shippable (or hand-deliverable) to arrive at Nucleus by March 1, 2015. 

*Final selected submissions must be hand-signed, framed, ready to hang and shipped securely. Damages due to shipping will be the responsibility of the artist.
