Carcimine is flammable, which is highly distressing for a creature of the flame genus. The ingenious creature acquires wax from Beear’s honeycombs, which it uses to fireproof its own fur. When wax is in high enough supply, depending on the docility of its chosen Beear, it packs the wax around a bundle of its own detached hair to create a candle. The creature fuels this fire with its own breath, fending off any who intrude upon its territory.
