Graphic Design for Filmmaking w/Annie Atkins

Graphic Design for Filmmaking w/Annie Atkins

November 2, 2019 - November 3, 2019

Taught by award winning designer Annie Atkins, who has created iconic designs several of Wes Anderson's films. Annie will be flying in from Dublin Ireland, for a rare two day workshop that is limited to only 16 students.

Telegrams, love letters, prison escape maps... it’s not just the movie poster a graphic designer makes, but also any paper props that the actors work with on set. ABOUT ANNIE ATKINS

Annie specializes in graphics for filmmaking, which means that she makes any graphic pieces outlined by a period film script—like postage stamps and banknotes to help create Wes Anderson’s fictional State of Zubrowka; or shopfront signs and fake passports for Steven Spielberg’s New York. Her graphic design work can be seen in such films as:

  • Isle of Dogs
  • The Grand Budapest Hotel
  • The Boxtrolls
  • Room
  • Bridge of Spies
