Bob Peak's grandmother is said to have had a relationship with Buffalo Bill whom she said "was the greatest man she ever knew". Her ashes were eventually sprinkled over the grave of Buffalo Bill where she brought the young Bob Peak annually for picnics on his Buffalo Bill's birthday.
