Cornerbadge
Button 4 you!

Quirky and misunderstood, Luna Lovegood is by far my favorite Ravenclaw!  Maybe cause it takes one to know one?
Instead of being "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs" why not be "Looney for Luna"!

Another reminder that this button is FREE when you come in costume or when you blog/facebook/twitter about the show before July 7! Otherwise, its free with $2 entrance fee.

This is just one of many, exclusive souvenir items that will only be available for the duration of the show (in-store only).  Upon entrance, our guests will be sorted into schools by randomly picking a button from the sorting hat that represents/determine their school.

New Art Submission: Keith Noordzy

For those days you can't decide which side you're on, Team Harry or Team Voldemort, this new piece submitted by artist Keith Noordzy is perfect for those moments.  Appropriately titled "Neither can live while the other survives", this ink and watercolor piece almost appears to be reversible!  Currently it features Harry on top for those Team Harry days, but flip it around and you got Voldemort's skull on the Team Voldemort days.

What versatility!

Radcliffe as Finch

For those of you who just can't get enough of Daniel Radcliffe, you can catch him starring in the Broadway classic, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.  Daniel assumes the role of company man, J. Pierrepont Finch who works his way from the mailroom up through the corporate ladder.  The musical is currently playing in New York and will be running until November 6, 2011.

Check out these stills from the rehearsal and the show!

New Art Submission: Nicole Gustafsson

A very peaceful and reflective piece by artist Nicole Gustafsson

The time of day, twilight.  Hagrid and his faithful boarhound Fang, sitting contemplatively outside his humble hut reflecting on the day's events.  Nicole describes this moment as just after Buckbeak is rescued and Sirius is freed.  This piece definitely succeeds in resonating those emotions.

Trivia of the Day:

What was Buckbeak renamed to as a precaution to protect him from the Ministry?

New Art Submission: Abby Boeh

Three cheers for this wonderful submission by another talented MICA student artist, Abby Boeh

Rarely do we get to see portraits of all four Quidditch teams!  Every portrait seems to depict each team's fighting spirit.

The Gryffindors appear to have accomplished another successful win while the Hufflepuffs look like they enjoy celebrating their victories by overindulging in one too many butterbeers!

Answer to previous Trivia of the Day:

" B - Mimbulus Mimbletonia "

New Art Submission: Julianna Brion

Look at these cute little house elves hard at work in the Hogwarts kitchen!  This whimsical piece was illustrated by Julianna Brion, an aspiring new artist and student at MICA in Baltimore.  This is the first piece she's ever done that's completely in traditional media. Great job!

Can you spot how many house elves it takes to cook up a Hogwarts feast?

Trivia of the Day:

Which Hogwarts Founder brought the house elves to work in the kitchen?
