Pottercast for your IPOT...

One of my favorite parts in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was when Ron came back and announced there was a secret radio channel that broadcasts a show called Potter Watch.  Supporters of Harry can tune in to get all the latest updates for Harry's fight against You-Know-Who.

Well here in the muggle world, we have Pottercast!  The next best thing to Potter Watch.  You won't be listening to Romulus or Rapier on the air, but Pottercast is available to listen..anytime! No secret passwords needed...phew
Easiest way to get it, download from iTUNES and just subscribe.  You can get all the info you need on this site:

There is a great interview with JK Rowling that I recommend you check out first.

Harry Potter in 3D?

As you may know, Part 1 of the last installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is due out in theaters in November 19, 2010.  Part 2 is scheduled to follow 8 months later on July 15, 2011.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, rumor has it that after following early 3D conversion tests on Clash of the Titans, complemented with the recent success of Avatar in 3D, Warner Brothers has decided to release the 2 part Harry Potter movie in 3D!  This news however is unconfirmed at this point, but wouldn't it be fantastic to have the 3D glasses resemble Luna Lovegood's spectrespecs?

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

With the grand opening of the much anticipated addition to the Universal Studios Orlando theme park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter scheduled for Spring 2010, Universal has released its first official photo of the Hogwarts Castle.

Hogwarts Castle, Orlando Florida

Some people say JK Rowling's inspiration for Harry Potter and Hogwarts came from Edinburgh,  Scotland, where she worked on the first 2 of her 7 books in the back room of The Elephant House coffee shop.  The room offered a majestic view of Edinburgh Castle, which definitely bears some similarity to the now famous Hogwarts castle.

But would the Bloody Baron or Peeves be caught haunting the corridors of Edinburgh? Or would whispering "Caput Draconis" to a painting allow it to open up to a secret entrance? Probably not..

I for one cannot wait to experience the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! I have often found myself imagining what it would feel like to sit in the Three Broomsticks with my fellow Gryffindors, a big tall glass of butterbeer in my hand. Or nibbling on some delicious Sugar Quills at Honeyduke's!

There's also a ton of other attractions aside from food, take a look!

Oh and here are some recent pictures taken on site.
