New Artist Submission: Megan Hughes

"Welcome to Hogwarts" is the perfect name for this paper cut out piece by artist Megan Hughes.  A graduate of California Institute of the Arts, Megan wanted to showcase her favorite character in the series, the late great headmaster Dumbledore.  Here he's seen giving one of his famous welcome speeches in front of the great hall.

New Artist Submission: Felicia Cano

Two more great submissions from freelance artist Felicia Cano~!  An Art Center graduate, we had previously posted one of Felicia's works of Neville Longbottom which you can check out here.

Here we have poor Ginny under evil Tom Riddle's diary enchantment and below that is Ms. Granger studying her favorite book, Hogwarts A History.

New Artist Submission: Sebastian Mesnard

Check out this charming piece by one of our favorite artists Sebastian Mesnard ~!  You might have seen some of Sebastian's other works at our previous shows such as the Terrible Yellow Eyes show, Enchante, and most recently the Edwards Scissorhands show (which Sebastian curated!)

We love the expression on Harry's face, he looks so lost and vulnerable in the dark forest...makes you just want to give him a big hug!

New Artist Submission: Mary Grandpre

This is undoubtedly the moment we've all been waiting for.......a brief glimpse of what to expect by the immensely talented Mary Grandpre!

For those who may not have heard of Mary Grandpre, she is the artist behind the cover art for all the American Harry Potter books!
Created especially for our show, these are three of Mary's mysterious creations from her new mythical creatures series called "Myth or Fiction: At the Water's Edge". All the pieces in the series are painted with acrylic on wood panel with gold leaf and elements of collage! These photos really don't do it justice.

Love what you see? Good news, we're expecting three more pieces...but those will only be unveiled at the show!

"Pentagus"

"Insectus"

"The Messenger"

New Artist Submission: Scott C.

Check out this endearing piece by artist Scott C.  The bond between Harry and Hagrid has clearly touched the hearts of many.   This painting seems to convey Hagrid as the protective guardian, always by Harry's side.

Scott studied children's book illustration while attending the Academy of Art in San Francisco and even worked as a concept artist for children's video games!
